Radhika Sarath Kumar, whose family has long been associated with the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, has decided to join DMK yet again. The actress is not new to this party, as she has canvassed for it during during 1998 parliamentary elections.
Radhika and Sarath left DMK before 2006 Assembly elections, owing to differences with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi's family members, and Joined AIADMK and also campaigned vigorously for that AIADMK during the 2006 elections.
But in between while sharing a stage with Kalaignar who won the 2006 election, Radhika maintained that the DMK was like her maternal home, leading to jayalalitha dismissing her from the party on grounds anti-party activities, Later Sarath also quit AIADMK quoting his workload in the film industry as a reason and went on to float a new political party Akila Indiya Samathuva Makkal Katchi.
However, Radhika was never into active politics sudden decision to join this party has come as surprise for many. It has to be mentioned here that Kushboo, joined the DMK just a couple of months ago.
